Paul Wurth, based in Luxembourg City, is a Luxembourg engineering company within the SMS group. It builds the plant used in primary ironmaking and steelmaking: blast furnaces and their top-charging systems, cokemaking plants and coke-oven machines, direct-reduction plants, hot-blast stoves and slag-granulation systems.

Based in China, we maintain direct access to manufacturers across China, Asia and beyond, and we coordinate procurement, logistics and customs throughout. Where a part is hard to find we locate the current equivalent, subject to compliance screening.

Typical product lines we supply:

• Blast furnace plants: Complete blast furnaces including shell, hearth lining, copper and cast-iron cooling staves, tuyere stocks and bustle pipe for ironmaking.
• Bell Less Top charging systems: Proprietary BLT top-charging equipment, parallel-hopper and compact types, that distributes burden into the blast furnace.
• Cokemaking plants and coke oven machines: Top- and stamp-charged coke oven batteries plus charging cars, pusher machines, quenching cars and gas-treatment plants.
• Midrex direct reduction plants: Natural-gas and hydrogen-capable direct reduction plants producing hot and cold DRI for green-ironmaking routes.
• Hot blast stoves and PCI systems: Hot blast stove plants with energy recovery and Pulverized Coal Injection systems feeding reducing agents to the blast furnace tuyeres.
• INBA slag granulation: Slag granulation and dewatering plants that convert molten blast-furnace slag into granulated by-product.
